AisleAsk · for grocery delivery
Pick faster.
At fleet scale.
Grocery shoppers lose time hunting for items in stores they don’t know. AisleAsk turns any phone into a hands-free picking copilot — optimal route, item location, scan-to-confirm, substitution help — so a shopper picks faster and more accurately. We sell the outcome as an operated service, and keep the engine and the store-map data.
Not a delivery-platform partnership — an independent service that works alongside the app your shoppers already use.
Measured against your grocery P&L
Three numbers decide whether this is worth it. Everything we build is instrumented against them from day one.
Pick time per order
Minutes in the store — the headline. The optimal route plus item-find kills the hunting that eats the trip.
Substitution & accuracy
Scan-to-confirm and accept-likely substitutions mean fewer wrong picks and fewer callbacks.
Shopper ramp time
A brand-new shopper picks an unfamiliar store like a regular on day one — productive far sooner.
How the service works
An operated service, not an IP hand-off
You rent the capability — per active shopper or per order. We run the ops. The engine and the store-map data stay ours, so the moat keeps compounding instead of being sold off once.
Phone-first — no hardware to approve
The routing, item-find, and planogram matching are device-agnostic. Shoppers use the audio-first copilot on the phone they already carry — no camera rollout, no gear line item, no adoption friction. Glasses are a later hands-free upgrade, never a dependency.
A store-map data moat
The hard part of grocery picking is current, accurate per-store aisle data. The shoppers build and refresh the maps as they work, so coverage and accuracy grow with usage — an asset that appreciates and is expensive to replicate.
Batch + the delivery leg
One merged walk covers two or three customers’ orders, bagged per customer; the driver’s drop route is computed for the batch. Efficiency across the whole trip, not just a single pick.
How we get there
- 1
Prove it without you
We measure the pick-time and ramp delta with independent shoppers or a single chain’s fulfillment team first — so we arrive with real numbers, not a hypothesis.
- 2
A paid, measured pilot
A defined pilot on N shoppers in one market: we operate it, you measure pick time and ramp against your own baseline.
- 3
Land and expand
One metro proves out, then more banners, then wider — the store-map data and shopper-performance data deepen the moat at every step.
Where this actually stands
The engine is real and running — the consumer shopper tool at /shop is live, and it’s the same routing and item-find the service is built on. The grocery-delivery service is early: we run measured pilots, not shipped-at-scale deployments, and we’re honest about that. We have no partnership with DoorDash, Instacart, or any delivery platform — AisleAsk is an independent service that works alongside whatever app your shoppers use. No borrowed logos, no invented metrics; the pilot produces the numbers.
